The LifeCare PCA 3 Syringe Infusion Pump allows a patient to self-administer analgesia within pre-programmed limits that have been set by the physician. It is the most advanced PCA device to help address wrong dose and wrong drug errors. The Lifecare PCA 3 pump uses an integrated approach to patient-controlled analgesia and helps to enhance patient safety and efficiency through bar code technology and advanced software design. The bar code scanner reads pre-filled, bar-coded medication vials with colored labels from ICU Medical. Sterile empty unlabeled glass vials with injectors are available for educational use.

PCA Only: Approximately 1 mL in 35 seconds
Continuous Only: Variable from 0.1 x concentration to 20 x concentration (mg/hr or mcg/hr)
PCA + Continuous: Variable from 0.1 x concentration to 20 x concentration (mg/hr or mcg/hr)
Lockout Interval Range: 5 to 120 minutes in one minute increments
